Trade and Grade

Amanda at The Primary Gal asked, "Who wants to do a "trade-and-grade?" I signed up! I love to try out other teachers' products. I was paired with Elyse from Proud to be Primary. I HIT THE JACKPOT! When I opened the file she sent me my eyes popped out of my head. Get ready because this unit is chock full of stuff to help you teach sight words to all kinds of learners. Here we go.

You can just glance at the T of C and tell that it is full of ways to teach kids to read and spell.
Here's a better look at what is included in the pack.

There are 8 units of 5 words each. If your school doesn't already give you weekly words, this feature would be a huge help. For each unit, you'll find rainbow color sight word cards, color by sight word, sight word bracelets, trace-and-read mini books, play dough mats, letterboxes, find and highlight pages,  printing practice, sight word sticker books, spelling books and more.

To try out the activities, I gave each of my different reading groups a  different type of practice. Here's my lowest group using the rainbow color pages.

This group worked to repeatedly identify the words with this color-by-word page.

My next group is ready to read and enjoyed the small books.

Another group of readers found the words with highlighters.

A final group enjoyed stamp and write.

You certainly could use all of the pages with all ability groups. There was so much in this pack to try, I had to spread it out! Or, it would be great to let the kids choose which way they wanted to practice the words for each week.

Even though I tested the pages in small groups, you could use them for morning work, in centers, or as homework.

Now you are the lucky one. You can try out the pages in this FREE sampler. Just click on the cover to download it from TPT. While you are there, be sure to follow her store!

To see my product that Elyse graded, click on her button and visit her blog. I have a free sample for you as well, so be sure to grab it from my TPT store.
